“Very.”
Greg gave a short laugh.
“It wasn’t that bad.”
I picked up my phone.
“Want to see?”
“Tori…”
I showed him the first picture.
Three garbage bags beside the sink.
Then the ants.
Then the dishes.

Then the towel I’d used to wipe dried grease from the counter.
Greg looked uncomfortable.
“I was running late.”
“For five days?”
“I mean when I left.”
“What about the first four?”
He rubbed his forehead.
“I figured I’d get to it.”
“You didn’t.”
“I said I was in a rush.”
I nodded.
“Okay.”

Then I pulled out the takeout receipts.
His face changed before I asked anything.
That told me everything.
“Who was here?”
Greg looked at Dan.
Dan’s voice went quiet.
“Greg.”
“It’s not a big deal.”
“Who was here?”
“A few people.”
Dan put down his fork.
“You brought people into our apartment?”
Publicidad
“They’re friends.”
“Yours.”
“Yeah.”
