Dan’s fork stopped.
Greg continued.
Publicidad
“If the guest room’s free, same arrangement?”
I smiled.
“Absolutely.”
Dan stared at me.
Greg grinned.
“Perfect. Your place is basically my free hotel in Chicago now.”
There it was.
I stood.
“Give me one second.”
Greg looked at Dan.
“What’s up?”
Dan took a drink of water.
Publicidad
“You’ll see.”
I came back with the paper.
I placed it beside Greg’s plate.
He looked down.
Then laughed.
“What is this?”
“Our new guest policy.”
“Cleaning?”
He read further.
“Pest treatment? Coffee machine?”
Then he looked at me.
“You’re serious?”
Publicidad
“Completely.”
His smile disappeared.
“You’re charging me?”
“No.”
“Looks like a bill.”
“I’m showing you what your free stay cost us.”
Greg leaned back.
“I didn’t ask you to hire cleaners.”
“You’re right.”
I nodded.
“You could’ve cleaned it.”
He looked at Dan.
Publicidad
“Are you serious right now?”
Dan folded his arms.
