“Not ours.”
Greg sighed.
“They’re not criminals, Dan.”
“That’s not the point.”
“It was one night.”
I picked up the largest receipt.
“Six meals?”
“Four people came over.”
“For dinner?”
Publicidad
“We hung out.”
“Hung out how?”
Greg rolled his eyes.
“Drinks. Food. Music. Nothing happened.”
“Nothing happened?”
I gestured toward the paper.
“We had ants.”
“That’s because you guys live in an old building.”
Dan stared at him.
“Tori cleaned this apartment from top to bottom before we left.”
“I know.”
Publicidad
“You noticed?”
“Of course.”
“And then you invited four people over without asking.”
Greg looked annoyed now.
“You told me to make myself at home.”
Dan leaned forward.
“I meant use the shower and eat the cereal.”
Publicidad
I almost laughed.
Greg didn’t.
“Come on. You’re acting like I trashed the place.”
“You left three bags of garbage beside the sink.”
“They were tied.”
For a second, nobody spoke.
