Mason’s entire face lit up.
He grabbed my hand with both of his and whispered excitedly, “That’s him! That’s my dad!”
I raised my phone and began recording.
Tyler continued with his usual welcome announcement, mentioning the weather conditions, the expected flight time, and our destination.
His voice was confident and familiar.
He even made one of his famously corny jokes, prompting a few passengers to chuckle.
Mason was beaming.
He sat perfectly still, listening to every word as though his father were speaking directly to him.
I watched him through my phone screen, trying to capture the happiness on his face.
