My Husband Always Covered His Tattoos in Public – Until a Stranger Recognized One in a Store and Said Something That Made Me Burst Into Tears

Then she pointed toward his forearm.

“You kept it.”

Brad froze.

I looked between them.

“Kept what?”

The woman’s eyes stayed fixed on the sunflower.

“My sunflower.”

Brad’s expression became completely blank.

“Erin, please.”

My stomach tightened.

He knew her.

Erin lifted a hand to her mouth.

“I never thought I’d see that again.”

“Erin…”

Only then did she seem to notice me and the children.

She looked at Brad.

“Your family?”

He nodded.

Her eyes widened.

“You never told them?”

Brad’s jaw tightened.

“There wasn’t anything to tell.”

Erin gave a short, disbelieving laugh.

“Nothing?”

“Not here.”

I stepped closer.

“Brad, what is she talking about?”

He refused to look at me.

Erin did.

“Your husband gave me his arm when I was learning how to trust my hands again.”

I frowned.

“What?”

She pointed toward the sunflower.

“That was the first tattoo I managed to do after I got sick.”
