My husband had always been quick with a joke, especially when someone else was the punchline. But after what happened at my birthday dinner, I decided it was time to see if he could handle being on the receiving end.
“What have you done?!”
My husband’s voice echoed through the house.
I was upstairs getting dressed when Tyler discovered what I’d left on our kitchen table.
“Emily! Get down here!”
I took my time.
“What have you done?!”
When I entered the kitchen, Tyler was holding the offending item in his hands.
He looked like he’d just received an unexpected tax bill!
“Explain this,” he demanded.
I glanced at him.
“Which part?”
“All of it!”
“Explain this.”
“Well, it’s cotton. I think the washing instructions are inside…”
“Emily!”
I took a sip of coffee.
He pointed at the item.
“Why would you make something like this?”
“Because I thought it was funny.”
