My Husband Threw Wine in My Face When I Refused to Pay His Mother’s $10,000 Dinner Bill—Then I Called 911 and Exposed Everything

“No,” I said. “It wasn’t a misunderstanding.”

His jaw tightened.

I explained that Spencer had demanded I pay a bill containing charges I had never authorized.

When I refused, he threw wine into my face and threatened to end our marriage.

I also explained that I wanted the incident recorded and the security footage preserved.

Mr. Bennett nodded.

“I’ll take care of that.”

Spencer suddenly stood.

“You can’t review private security footage without my permission.”

The manager regarded him calmly.

“Our security system records incidents on the premises. We’ll preserve the relevant footage according to our procedures.”

For the first time that evening, Spencer looked uncertain.

He had always believed that money could make people accommodate him.

He assumed that an expensive suit, a commanding voice, and his family name would make everyone hesitate before challenging him.

But Mr. Bennett wasn’t impressed.

Two security guards approached our table.

They stood nearby without touching anyone.
