I gripped the counter as every explanation I had invented during the week fell away.
“Tell me,” I said.

“For how long?”
“Nearly half an hour. We searched everywhere before security called us. They found her outside a restricted soundstage where Max was filming.”
Publicidad
The name meant nothing to me.
“Was she hurt?”
“No, but she tried more than once to get past the barrier. Security warned her that if she returned, they would call the police. She wouldn’t explain herself to us. She just looked humiliated and furious.”
The chaperones had filed an incident report as soon as they returned. The principal believed another administrator had contacted me, while that administrator assumed the principal had done it.
