Kenny Had Mixed Emotions about Becoming a Father Again at 65

According to TODAY, Kenny was 65 when he and Wanda welcomed Justin and Jordan in 2004. The country legend was also the father of Carole, Kenny Jr., and Christopher from previous marriages.

During a 2006 interview, Kenny reflected on becoming a father again later in life. When the possibility was raised that he might not live to see the twins turn 21, he admitted the thought was never far from his mind. “That bothers me on a daily basis,” Kenny said.

He explained that hearing other parents talk about milestones such as their children going to college could break his heart. The concern had initially made him reluctant to have more children, but the happiness Justin and Jordan brought into his life ultimately outweighed that fear.
