I opened the wrong door on the fiftieth floor and saw what the most powerful woman in the company had been hiding — the next morning she put eighty-five thousand dollars on the desk.

There is no such person.

The name on that statement does not appear on Kelvedon’s staff list, on the contractor’s staff list, or on any pass issued to that building in the last four years.

They fabricated one statement — and it was the one they thought nobody would ever check, because who checks a cleaner.

What happened at the board.

The hearing was on the eighteenth of November.

I was not in the room. I gave a statement to the company secretary on the fifth and I was asked eleven questions by a lawyer on the tenth and the whole thing took about two hours across two days.

I did not say one word about Margo Thale’s condition in any of it, and I was not asked to, because her condition was not what the statement was about.

What I said was: a woman came onto a secure floor eleven times on a pass that should not have been there, I asked her once, she lied, here are the dates.
