When the driver arrived, he accidentally walked toward my neighbor’s house. I called him to correct the mistake, and he apologized before moving under my neighbor’s covered porch to protect the order from the rain.

Immediately, I became suspicious. I had seen stories online about delivery drivers tampering with customers’ food, and my imagination jumped to the worst possible conclusion. I watched closely as he took out my paper takeout bag, whose bottom had become wet and weak from the rain.
But what happened next surprised me.
He carefully removed each sealed food container and placed it on top of his clean insulated bag. Then he took paper towels from his car and wiped every container, making sure the lids and sides were dry. After discovering that the paper bag was beginning to fall apart, he threw it away and returned with a clean reusable grocery bag.
