A 101-year-old man was taken to court for stealing over $2,000 worth of items

There was an assessment in the October.

ITEM 11a. THE ADJOURNMENT, AND WHAT IT COST HIM.

Eight weeks, the eleventh of September to the sixth of November.

I have given that as a gap with a good outcome on the end of it.

He did not have a good eight weeks.

There was the assessment in the October, which took two appointments and which he had to be driven to, and there were people in that house with clipboards twice.

He was frightened the whole time. He would not say so and he did not have to.

On the ninth of October he asked me whether they could make him go somewhere.

I said no. I had looked it up by then; it is not how it works, not like that, not at once.

He said: “You’d tell me, though.”

That is the second time he has asked me that, in different words, in the same kitchen.
